Dear “Bloom” Friends,
Spring seems to be flying by and I haven’t sent an email out in quite some time. Now that I’m starting to catch up i wanted to let you know what’s happening around here. Our moss hanging baskets have been selling quite well, but we still have plenty in stock. The “Sun Patiens” baskets (shown above) are absolutely covered with blooms and YES they do take full hot sun (but, will do great in part sun, too). If your patio isn’t party ready for the weekend, hang a few of these or pop them in a pot and you’ll be the envy of your guests. One of our most often asked questions is: “Why aren’t my hydrangeas blooming?” We recommend fertilizing with Holly tone. It does a fantastic job of coaxing those big, beautiful blooms.
We are growing several new varieties of coneflowers this year including Hot Lava, Tomato Soup, and Maui Sunshine just to name a few. They can’t get enough of this heat — as we’re all melting, they ‘re soaking up every bit of sunshine and loving it.
Hard to believe but it’s time for the “Gardens in Bloom” Garden Tour next Saturday, June 5. Meander through the yards of other passionate gardeners to find out how they create their own personal paradise. It’s a day filled with inspiration, but may also create a little “plant lust.” Not to worry, we have plenty of beautiful, blooming plants to satisfy your every desire. Stop in after the tour to enjoy some refreshments. We’ll be happy to help you create your own dream garden!
Happy Touring!
